August Social is a modern marketing studio based in South East Queensland. We work with clients in a wide variety of industries including fashion, healthcare, construction, and technology, providing services in Social Media Management, Web Design, and Content Creation.

An amazing product or service is pointless without a well-designed, user-friendly website. A stunning website is ineffective if nobody knows it exists, and customers won't be driven to your website without exciting social media accounts that showcase the best of what you have to offer and seek to create genuine relationships with your audience.

Role Description

This is a freelance, remote role for a Social Media Video Content Creator, ideally suited to someone energetic, well-spoken and knowledgable in the variety of services we offer. The Video Content Creator will form part of the face of our brand, and be responsible for creating engaging and compelling video content for our audience - note that this is an internal role for August accounts and does not include any client-facing work at this stage. 
 

Due to the nature of the position, you must be confident in front of the camera and comfortable participating in the content you create.
 

Our aim is to produce videos that are engaging and informative for our audience, and may cover topics such as:
 

• Industry insights

• Current/emerging trends (both creation of videos following trends, and videos discussing trends)

• Benefits of our services (Social Media Management, Website Design, Content Creation)

• Marketing tips, tricks, and best practices, as they relate to our services
   

You have the opportunity to pitch your own concepts, but we will also provide ideas and scripts to you. This role at various stages may include conceptualizing, scripting, filming, and editing.

Requirements

• Proficiency in video editing software

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to speak confidently and enthusiastically in front of a camera

• Knowledge of marketing concepts, social media platforms, and current trends

• Strong creative and conceptual thinking

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

• Direct experience in social media management, content creation, or web design are highly favorable
